Animal Rescue Organizations: The Benefits
Animal Rescue Organizations are another main part of helping a dog's life. Some rescue organizations will go to shelter's to put a dog in a foster home, which helps the dog get accumulated to a life at a home. Some dogs that are rescues have been in homes, but may have had a bad past or were given up. When this happens, the rescue organization 'rescues' the dog and puts them with another foster that will encourage and help the dog and reduce their fears.
Rescue organizations help the dogs so much. The organizations host adoption events in many different places that attract many different people. The foster's then bring the rescue dogs to the adoption event in hopes that someone will fall in love with that dog.
I have personally been a part of an adoption event. A friend of mine was fostering a little Pitbull-mix named Hazel. She was dumped at a shelter from her previous owners because she was not the size they thought she would be. We brought Hazel to two adoption events held by Player's For Pits. At the second adoption event, a family wanted to schedule a home visit! Hazel visited the home twice, and on the second visit, the family wanted her. Hazel is now with a family with 2 kids and 2 other dogs. She is happy and it is all thanks to animal rescue organizations!
